Lawrence Haiducu
Dermatologist
Dr. Haiducu is a Canadian board-certified dermatologist and practices both medical and cosmetic dermatology. He completed both his medical school training and his dermatology residency at the University of British Columbia. Throughout the course of his studies, Dr. Haiducu has won several prestigious awards and he was bestowed the Dean’s Medal for finishing first in his medical school class. He has trained with numerous North American leaders in medical and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Haiducu has conducted research and is published in the areas of skin cancer, skin disease epidemiology, photoprotection and laser therapy. He has presented at national and international dermatology conferences. He has special interests in skin cancer treatments and medical aesthetics including injectables and laser therapy.
In his spare time, Dr. Haiducu enjoys training medical students and residents, as well as enjoying the beautiful B.C. outdoors with his family.
John Kim
Skin-focused General Practitioner
Dr. John Kim, MD, received his Family Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia. Prior to that, he obtained his Masters of Science (MSc) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Alberta, which included working as a research scientist at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Having worked as an hospital physician for a number of years, he gained significant experience and expertise in diagnosing and treating acute and severe dermatological conditions. He also developed extensive experience and expertise in surgical skin procedures and techniques over this time period.
Dr. Kim has a keen interest and special passion for skin disease and overall skin health. He obtained his post graduate Diploma in Practical Dermatology (PgDPD) through the University of Cardiff. Dr. Kim practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology and prior to joining Q Dermatology, trained with a Mohs surgeon/Dermatologist, Dr. Danny Guo, and other dermatologists in Calgary, AB.
Robin MacKay
Skin-focused General Practitioner
Dr. MacKay is an accomplished individual both in and outside of medicine. Prior to becoming a Physician, Dr. MacKay served with distinction as a Reconnaissance Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces and subsequently owned and operated several successful businesses in Finance and Mental Health.
Dr. MacKay went on to Medical School and finished his Family medicine post-graduate degree at the University of British Columbia after a successful Clerkship in Detroit, U.S.A. His post-graduate training encompassed work with various dermatologists where he honed his experience in medical dermatology and minor surgical skills. Dr. MacKay has a special interest in skin cancer, hair loss, acne, and paediatric skin conditions.
Dr. MacKay is married with two children and enjoys swimming and skiing in his spare time.
Mikayla Wohlleben
Skin-focused General Practitioner
Dr. Wohlleben did her medical school and residency training at the University of British Columbia and subsequently completed her post graduate diploma in dermatology with distinction. She has special interests in skin cancer surveillance and acne management. She is published in international journals, enjoys teaching students and spends her time pursuing artistic endeavours.
Ian Wong
Dermatologist
Dr. Ian Wong is a double board-certified dermatologist (Canada, USA) with proficiency in full-service medical, procedural, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Wong completed his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy at the University of British Columbia (UBC), and he graduated as a Rho Chi honours inductee at the top of his class. He then completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at UBC where he was awarded the Dr. Alan William Baird Brydon Memorial Scholarship as the top medical student excelling in both academic achievements and clinical performance in dermatology.
During his 5-year Dermatology residency training at UBC, Dr. Wong held numerous local and national leadership positions including the Canadian Medical Association Health Ambassador and Chief Resident for the UBC Dermatology Residency Program. In his pursuit towards both academic and clinical excellence in patient care, he has led research studies that have been published in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals. Additionally, Dr. Wong has trained with prominent international cosmetic and procedural dermatologists in Toronto, Calgary, the USA and Asia. Dr. Wong is a clinical instructor faculty member of the UBC Department of Dermatology and Skin Science where he is actively involved in the training of medical students and resident physicians.
